I met up with a good friend here on Youtube, Splattertrigger at Funspot, the worlds largest arcade! This is just a short vloggy video showing some good times.
My friend and I attended the 3rd day of the 12th annual Classic Video Game Tournament 2010 at Funspot in Weirs Beach, NH. This is the time were everyone comes out to try to break world records or try to top their personal scores in a public setting. I got to meet Hank Chien, the Donkey Kong World Record holder, see 3 world records get broken, and see a lot of the guys from the King of Kong film. Definitely my most fun I’ve had at Funspot!
I have acquired yet another arcade cab to my collection and its a goodie! Let’s take a look at my Neo Geo 4 Slot MVS Arcade machine. This is one that’s been at the top of my want list for a long time and I finally found an amazing deal on one.
Let’s take a look at one of my arcade cabs in my personal collection, Time Killers. Time Killers is an arcade game that came out in 1992 developed by Incredible Technologies and published by Strata. This was their answer to Mortal Kombat and the violent fighter craze. This game has 9 characters from all over history past and future that wield weapons to cut off limbs, heads, and of course shed blood! Let take a look at the game and my actual cab of Time Killers.
So I go to Funspot…. AGAIN….ALONE! I show a bunch of arcades requested by my fellow peeps and have a REALLY good Donkey Kong game ALMOST beating my top score. I also check out another arcade near Funspot.
I am on vacation this week, so we took a stroll to my favorite place, FUNSPOT! We pretty much had the place to ourselves today which was sweet! In this Vlog I show a bunch of cabs which I think are interesting. If you guys want to see a machine in particular, let me know!
So finally my 60 in 1 Arcade Cab Project is now completed! So in this 3rd and final part we go through a quick montage from start to finish plus a closer look at this beast!
The cab took me about 3 months off and on and around $300 bucks to make. Anyone who loves the classic vertical monitor arcade games (Donkey Kong’s, Pac-man’s, Galaga’s, ect..) will not regret getting one of these 60 in 1 PCB’s.
The 60 in 1 project arcade cab is ALMOST complete. I did some 2nd coats of paint and its just a matter of putting it back together again after the paint kicks. Also I explain how to change out a JAMMA game for Gamester81.
The 60 in 1 arcade cab is a big step closer to being complete! I made the bezel and have painted the stuff I needed to black. It came out awesome! Its almost like the screen is floating in darkness!! I also have my plexi glass front on! Just a couple more things and its done!
Back to Funspot again!?!? Yup, again! I met up with Nick AKA PressStartComic from arcade-hunters.com (no footage unfortunately) and topped my new Donkey Kong high score of 75,500! To wrap up the vlog, I show some gaming pick ups.
